Fat Ox - Big Van: If you hire a public adjuster, you're likely going to make maybe, depending on your claim, $3000 more or $10,000 more, or even we've had some claims where we've gotten the insured 100 or $200,000 more than what they were going to get paid before.
Fat Ox - Mizani: All right, cool. Let's take another question. This next question comes from Facebook. They would like to know how much does a public adjuster cost?
Fat Ox - Big Van: That's a great question. Yeah. As a matter of fact, if you hire a public adjuster, you're likely going to make maybe depending on your claim, $3000 more or $10,000 more or even we've had some claims where we've gotten the insured 100 or $200,000 more than what they were going to get paid before. So that's how much it costs. It costs more increase on your claim. I'm just kidding. That's a little facetious. The reality is, a public adjuster is going to if they're good, they're going to increase your claim. So whatever the increase is, then you pay them a percentage of that. So in factuality, they don't really cost you anything. You just pay them a percentage of the increase that they get you. So a lot of times a carrier or an agent or somebody will try to scare you from hiring your own public adjuster by saying, Oh, you have to pay for that public adjuster, and that's going to cost you part of your claim money. Well, the reality is it doesn't cost you anything if you have a good public adjuster, because they increase your claim to the percentage to a point that after their fee comes off, there's way more money left over than there would have been if if they were not involved. So if you have a claim, definitely hire a public adjuster and have, you know, do your research, hire a good public adjuster from your area so that they can help you increase the claim to where their fee is not even to be considered. You know, it doesn't cost you anything. If you think about it like that, it actually makes you money by hiring a public adjuster.
Fat Ox - Mizani: So do would you rather. Would you rather have?
Fat Ox - Big Van: Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Would you rather. That was good. Would you rather have 100% of $10,000 or 85% of $20,000? You see what I'm saying? That's the kind of effect that a public adjuster has on your claim. And carriers don't tell you that part. They just try to scare you and say, Oh, you got to pay 15% of your claim. That's money you could be using towards repairs. Well, yeah, If you were only getting 10,000 and then you hired a public adjuster and had to pay them 15% of what you were going to get without them. Yeah, that public adjuster is worthless. Right? But if you were going to get $10,000 in the public adjuster ended up getting you $20,000 and you had to pay them 15% of that of that increase, then it's a no brainer. Right? It's like the the money the public adjuster got you and you paid their fee. It didn't cost you anything that came out of the increase. So a good public adjuster is well worth their weight in gold.
