When should I hire an attorney? Most policies lay out that you can't even sue them until you perform certain processes in the policy. A good public adjuster will help you with all that. They'll help you to know if you hit all your steps. Most attorneys will turn around and refer you back to a public adjuster if you haven't hit all those requirements, we get a lot of referrals. Customers that come to us from attorneys where they got frustrated with their carrier, they went to an attorney. The attorney said, Wait, pump your pump brakes. You got stuff you got to do first. Go check out Fat Ox and let them help you know when to get in touch with an attorney. I wish it was as simple as you could just be like, okay, I'm calling my attorney. A lot of times that attorney just can't help you yet. When it is time to hire an attorney, if you if you call Fat Ox or a good public adjuster, they will have relationships with good attorneys who only deal with or deal successfully with litigation against insurance companies. And so, yes, so definitely reach out, find you a good public adjuster first. They will let you know when it's time to get an attorney. And that attorney, usually if you get referred to an attorney from a public adjuster, that attorney usually is going to be one that has good experience with insurance companies. So, yeah, cool your jets a little bit before you go straight to an attorney, because you may be wasting a lot of time and money in that. At the very least, find a good public adjuster in your area and consult with them and just find out. Sometimes people call us about helping and we we answer by saying, no, you need to call an attorney. Here's a phone number. You know, just because there's nothing a public adjuster is going to be able to do for you at that point. You've already hit all your requirements by the policy. Now it's time to go to litigation. Or sometimes the public adjuster can be like, oh, wait a minute. Let me let me see if I can help. The PA gets involved and a month later you got a favorable settlement and you're happy with it, and you only had to pay that public adjuster, a little small percentage of that increase. So it's usually worth it to to bring in a public adjuster first to get their opinion on the claim and see if they can help you.
